Vintage Zenith Model 6-S-439. Tabletop pushbutton radio that is in good candidate for restoration. Radio does not power up, so it will need to be restored electronically to get it functioning. All of the knobs turn smoothly and properly but the dial indicator does not work and will need to be restrung. The power cord is a replacement in very good condition. The finish on the radio is all original and has simply been cleaned and polished with a professional wood wax. There is a minor veneer chip on the top rear left edge – see photo for details. The grill cloth is in excellent condition, with no rips or holes, but is a period replacement. The bass and treble push buttons are chipped, but still presents well. Highly desireable Zenith radio to add to your collection. Do not hesitate to make an offer, all will be considered.

The finish on the radio has simply been cleaned and polished with a professional wood wax. There are some ripples in the veneer, but still presents well. Unfortunately, the radio is not functioning – only humming, so it will probably need to be recapped. All of the tubes tested good on my Eico Model 625 tube tester. The knobs all turn smoothly and properly, but the dial indicator gets hung up and does not move at times, so it is not functioning properly. The on/off knob no es around at the stem, so it may be partially broken, but it still functions. The glass dial cover is broken – see photo. Power cord is original, and in good condition. The grill cloth is in great condition, with no rips, or holes and minor stains. Two of the feet are missing there rubber bodies and all that remains is the metal pin. Great looking radio that will be a fine addition to your collection. Do not hesitate to make an offer, all will be considered.
