This vintage promotional Radio Advertising Microphone Tube Radio is a must-have for collectors! Radio station 99.1 – WKOP fm – made by Mike-Radio of Chicago. This radio has the Station Identification Tag at the top of the radio. It is the perfect display piece for your home or office. Measures 13 tall and made of heavy plastic. The radio powers up and we get a hum. Condition is in very good condition there are a few flea bites at the bottom of stand, and one foot has been replaced with a pushpin (all in photos).

A vintage (c1948 per the Radio Museum website) promotional radio for General Tires! Features a model General Jumbo Jr. Tire atop a wooden base. Not sure if this was a promotional piece or an employee anniversary gift? I powered the radio on through a variac and it does come on. I got static only for about a minute and then when the tubes were warmed up, I was able to get a couple stations to come on! It is still a bit staticky and the volume knob doesn’t make a huge difference in the volume playing, so it seems like it could use some service. It looks like the white paint on the tire’s writing was put on by a previous owner/is not original. There are scuffs, scratches, and discoloration spots throughout. The wooden base’s sides have remnants of some sort of adhesive stuck to it. There’s dust buildup in the crevices of the tire’s treading. As shown, so please view photos! At furthest points, piece measures approximately 12 3/4″ wide, 4 3/4″ front-to-back, and 13 tall. The “not as described” return option is not to be used to resolve damaged item cases.

It was givin away as a promotional thing in the early 1950s, This one was from WKGN 1340 out of Kansas city and was retuned to 1370 WSPD out of Toledo, It only picks up one station and can be retuned for a station near you and no i don’t know how to do that (SORRY LOL) Please see pictures and judge for yourself on the condition.
