Vtg Zenith Trans-Oceanic Wave Magnet World-Band Radio Powers On. I did not see the model number. The unit powers on and I can hear static but I didn’t tune anything in clearly. I don’t know how to actually use this item to make it sound more clear. The plastic top where the logs go has been taped on one side. It powers on but I didn’t see a glow from a light (it might just need to be replaced but I don’t know how to replace the bulb). All knob and buttons work. The antenna looks like it was possibly bent when fully extended. It is in its original case that shows ware. Vintage Stromberg Carlson Tube Radio. Condition notes: This radio is a quirky one! It has a good power cord. It powers on and the dial light turns on, as you can see in the photos. When you turn the tuning knob, nothing happens. If you physically turn the dial pointer, the radio tuned into stations! This may be why the dial glass is NOT present, and may have been removed intentionally. (To access the dial pointer with your fingers). Has some signs of its age and a small crack on one side. The Stromberg-Carlson model 600-H is a DC or 25-60Hz AC operated 6 tube BC band receiver. Cabinet colors available in Ivory or Brown. Has built in loop antenna with provisions for external antenna. Also has AGC circuit and 2 step tone control. MCM, mid Century Modern. Thanks so much for considering. From an estate of a fella who bought radios for their cosmetics…. He did not care if they worked. This is a show piece looks wise…. Works, powers on, lights up. This unit works with the following description, as described previously it Powers up lights up no missing tubes or features internally no disconnected wires but only makes a variable humming noise between stations and a little garbled as you can tell when you come across a station that can’t bring it in completely, this unit needs someone that can go through it and make it right. Dial indicator cable is hooked up works volume and tone control works and radio can file through stations yet they sound garbled. I did find one working station. The small red light does work. This is for the person who wants a cosmetically beauty that looks like a blast from the past, I would rate it cosmetically at a 9.5. Would be a great movie prop. If repaired would be a great item for a collection or living room. You just do not find these without cracks and dings and dents at this age. Please see all pictures and use zoom feature.
