Up for sale is an original Crosley model E-15CE tube radio, circa 1953, featuring the iconic mid-century “dashboard” design in a desirable green color with gold-tone accents. This is a genuine vintage tube radio-not a reproduction-and would make a great piece for collectors, display, or restoration. Pre-owned vintage condition with light cosmetic wear consistent with age. No major cracks or structural damage observed. Tested briefly: powers on and produces loud static/noise. I did not test further and do not know if it receives stations. The Case on this is in good shape. As you can see in the pictures but needs a good cleaning. It has the dial string broke and the dial pointer I do not see. What you see in the pictures is what you are getting so look good. This is a nice piece of History and would make a wonderful addition to your Old Antique Radio Collection or to use. Offered here is a vintage Nordmende / Sterling “Kadett 57 USA” tube radio, a high-quality mid-century European-designed set built for the U. It powers up and functions, but will benefit from routine service expected for vintage tube equipment of this age. Powers up smoothly on a Variac to 110 VAC. Voltage selector allows adjustment to 120 VAC and other voltages (see photos). Radio tunes across bands. Noticeable hum is present and changes with bass and treble controls. This is consistent with aging electrolytic capacitors. No major faults or catastrophic issues detected. ? Condition & Service Disclosure. Electrolytic capacitors likely need replacement for optimal performance. Original power cord is removable. One prong piece is loose/not attached. The loose piece will be bagged and included so it is not lost. Cabinet shows normal cosmetic wear consistent with age. Internal components appear original and unmodified. This Clarion unit came from a estate of a collector of vintage radios, I have shearched the web and was unable to find this model. Not sure but I dont really have anyway to tell if it needed the antienna attached…. The wooden cabinet I feel given some time and effort could be redone and made to look very nice, but you decide. The unit powers up (meter moves and tube filaments glow), but beyond that no testing has been done.
