I saw spark at the plug. So no further testing was performed on item. And I did not plug in the battery. I didn’t see any point being how old it is. Vintage Zenith H500 Trans-Oceanic Portable Tube Radio Short Wave Operating Guide. For parts and repair. I’ve been told that it doesn’t work. Included is the operating guide and other papers it came with. However, they have A LOT of stains and tears; some of the pages are still stuck together. They clearly got wet at some point – they look like they made their own oceanic journey! Please see all the pictures for more details. These come from our smoke-free, pet-free home.

Leather handle fully intact. Light wear from use. I tested it and it works properly. There is a light hum when operating, but not enough to be bothersome. The volume works properly with great output, and the tuning knob also works properly with the indicator aligned properly. The cord is intact and not in need of replacement. The interior is clean, and all original decals are still intact. The lower section is for a battery (not included) with the connector still attached. Most negatives are cosmetic, including one cap on strap connector missing, the tuning and volume knobs have some degradation, and there are some scratches and mars in the plastic case. Excellent working condition and no significant damage or cracks to the burgundy red plastic housing. Please see photos for details of condition. Being preowned, I try to describe any flaws that I find as best I can, but something may get overlooked from time to time. Thank you for looking and if you have any questions, please let me know.
