Vintage 1930s Fairbanks Morse tombstone tube radio. Measures 16″ tall, 12-3/4″ across, and 9-3/4 deep. Original condition as found from a local estate. No breaks or repairs. I don’t know if this would have had a glass cover over the round dial area originally or not (most old radios I see do) but this one does not. Thanks for looking, Mike. CONDITION: Plugged it in and you can hear it power up. But when you put a quarter in the radio doesn’t start playing. I do not have the key on the bottom. So there are a couple quarters that are in the tray. The cord has been spliced and will beed to be replaced. NEARLY PRISTINE WOOD CASE. 3 internal speakers: 1 huge 5.5″ x 9″ oval woofer speaker and 2 x electrostatic tweeters. ELECTROLYTIC FILTER CAPACITORS REPLACED WITH NEW. ALL OUT OF TOLERANCE RESISTORS REPLACED WITH NEW. WAX TUBULAR CAPACITORS REPLACED WITH NEW. CONTROLS AND SWITCHES CLEANED WITH DEOXIT. SPEAKER CLEANED OF ALL DUST BUNNIES AND TESTS PERFECT. WOOD CASE CLEANED AND POLISHED inside and out. ALL METALLIC SURFACES CLEANED AND POLISHED. BACK COVER IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. 2 Panel pilot lamps replaced with new. EM87 Magic Eye tube cleaned and tested bright and effective. SIZE: 20″W x 11″H x 10D. 6 tubes: ECH81, EF89, EABC80, EL84, ECC95 and EM87. POWER CORD is original and in excellent condition with on damage or defects. Phono input jack replaced with popular RCA famale, gold plated jack for iPod adapter or phono input. IPOD ADAPTER IS NOT included in this listing. An iPod adapter is highly recommended to protect your low voltage digital device (iPod, iPhone) from the high voltages inside this vintage tube radio. I PICKED THIS UP A LOCAL SWAP MEET. I THINK THE FINISH IS PRETTY MUCH ORIGINAL AND LOOKS QUITE NICE. IT SHOWS A LITTLE WEAR AS YOU WOULD EXPECT. THE DIAL AND GLASS LENS LOOK GREAT. THE CORD IS IN GOOD SHAPE TOO. THE CHASSIS HAS BEEN REBUILT ” SEE PHOTOS”AND PLAYS VERY WELL, PICKING UP SEVERAL A/M STATIONS IN MY AREA. WORKS BEST WITH AN EXTENDED ANTENNA WIRE. THIS IS A 5 TUBE 2 BAND SET. THIS IS A GREAT LITTLE RADIO THAT WILL LOOK GREAT IN THE OFFICE OR HOME. THIS SET IS 15 1/2 ” T X 10 1/2″ W X 9 1/2 DEEP…….
