For sale is a. Vintage Bendix Model 114 Art Deco Plastic Tan & Brown Radio 11 Inches Wide. The case on this radio in in good condition. It does have some wear. Some of the decal around the tuner dial has some damage The cord has damage and it was not tested and further. Bendix 114 in Swirled Brown Polystyrene Art Deco Bendix Tube Radio made circa 1946. The model 114 shares the same design as the Catalin 526C version made by Bendix and it is an unusual design made of four pieces of Polystyrene. This radio is extremely stylish with the marbleized brown cabinet and contrasting tan front. This swirled brown with white and tan is a color seldom found in plastic radios. This radio has both a unique design and construction. The swirled brown top and sides are molded into one U-shaped piece that fits down over the tan piece which forms the front and base of the radio highlighted with its five streamline horizontal grooves that stretch across the front of the radio. The two rounded corner pieces that bolt onto either side of the dial are a unique feature unlike anything found on any other radio. We specialize in watches, Jewelry, antiques and collectibles. Original tuning and volume control dial. Dual speaker plays loud and clear. No damage to the case, minor scratches and scuffs, minor line marks on the front grill and slightly discolored. There’s an original sticker on the right side of the case underneath is the original uncontaminated factory color. Clock work good and the on-off switch still works, clock accuracy is not guaranteed. Phono input to play with bluetooth dongle or directly from your smartphone or other music player with a mono RCA type of cable to male 3.5mm cable (not included). The radio is working. The measurements are appx 6X9.5. Nice collectibel red bullseye radio. Plugged it in a immediately got a loud volume on a station # 10 on the dial. My remote location doesnt get very many stations. The station I got did still have light static mostly like the vintage radios do. The radio looks red not orange.
