Very clean condition Pilotone Model AA-903. Offered in fine, found condition. Four (4) heavy Bakelite dials in a dark brown burl-wood finish. Some scratchy pots on startup but this fades after a short period of time. Very responsive BASS & TREBLE dials as well as a very responsive EQ dial. This amp has a very unique (presets) EQ feature. Offered to the collector/ restorer. As with most vintage electronics, some level of service could be required in order for this amp to work and sound as when new, i. No shared repair costs please. This is an awesome Pilot Radio. The case is pretty nice with no major cracks or scratches. Some scuff and dirt within the crevasses but not a lot of work needed to fully clean her up. Electrically is where the work is. The radio is untested because the power cord unsafe to plug in due to its age and condition. Tubes are present but unsure if they work. This portable Bakelite radio was originally manufactured by Pilot around 1940. The handle is cleverly held down by inside springs and extends upward to provide space for fingers when pulled upward. The unique, light dial features the iconic Lone Ranger on his horse shouting Hi-Yo Silver! With an attractive needle that looks like an airplane flying toward you. The radio is in excellent condition with a beautiful shine and has been found free of any cracks upon thorough inspection. It is likewise free of chips except 4 minor ones in the protruding lines on the bottom that support the radio (see last photo). They aren’t visible unless you specifically look at the underside of the radio. See photos for cosmetic condition. 15 inches long x 7.5 inches wide x 9.5 inches tall. The item will be packed very well so that it will arrive in the condition described. This came from an estate sale, and is supposed to work. The only testing we could do is plug it in. No actual testing was done, we have no speakers or other equipment to test with. We did find out that the unit turns on, lights up, gets warm, tubes turn red and glow. It appears to have original PILOT EL34 tubes in place. Overall condition is very good to excellent appearance wise. The knobs turn, switches switch ok with indents. This is a heavy unit. Weighs in at about 21 pounds.
