A fantastic Philco Tropic radio, made in 1950s. Features Long Wave, Short Wave and Medium Wave bands. Measures 35.5cm by 21cm by 17cm. Have plugged in and plays as per video.
This is made of bakelite, it works and lights up. The size is approximately 12 inches by 6 3/4 inches by 7 3/4 inches tall. Nice Philco Model 46-200 Vintage Bakelite Tube Radio, no cracks or breaks, the dial cover is not clear (see photo) otherwise nice shape. The radio is in working condition receiving local radio station in my area.

Radio powers up but just has buzzing. Was not able to tune a station. Cosmetic condition is worn but mostly intact. Most of the wood veneer intact. Has all knobs and buttons. Viewing window for dial is there as well! Inside chassis is nice and clean. Inside of cabinet also has all original stickers intact as well! Nice candidate for restoration! Overall size is 12 3/8 wide, 6 5/8″ deep, and 8 3/8″ tall.
A fairly common radio rarely found in this condition. Radios this nice and original are a rare find. The original finish is beautiful right down to the perfect decal. The grille / bezel is made of Tenite. A material that is almost always showing warpage. This one is perfect! . This grille is excellent and the best example I’ve seen. The cardboard back looks like new. The chassis is clean and retains all original Philco features. There is a hairline crack in the plastic lens cover, virtually unnoticeable. This radio has been serviced and plays great. No hum and great volume. 13″W x 7-1/2″H x 6-1/2D. This pre-war table model features a right front dial panel with the famous “red pointer” dial indicator and plastic grille with horizontal louvers. Uses six tubes, has three knobs, carrying handle and feet. It receives broadcast and shortwave. Tenite grille in excellent condition. 13-1/2″W x 9″H x 7D.
