This is a good looking FT-101B. It’s been stored indoors for years (not a nasty garage), so it’s in very good cosmetic condition. The cabinet has some scuffs and scratches, but certainly nothing significant. It’s very clean inside and shows no signs of modification or tinkering. It has some filters along the side (which I believe as optional), but I can’t read the labels without taking the entire cabinet off. Included in the sale is the original AC cable! After nearly eight years in business, we’ve made the decision to no longer test vintage equipment that’s been sitting idle for long periods of time. I apologize for this, but we’ve simply encountered too many problems. But that doesn’t necessarily mean this is a junker! Rare 1942 Model 6R631. Description: Broadcast Receiver, 6 Tube Chassis, Superhet ZF/IF 455 kHz, RF Stage, AC 115V, 40 Watts, Wooden Case, Push Buttons, Bakelite Knobs, Built-In Antenna, Back Cover. Condition: We believe this is an rare original Zenith from 1942. A beautiful WWII radio. The clean chassis was removed and sent to Mike’s Radio Restorations for a check up. The tubes were tested as good. The original caps/resistors all were in spec and the alignment is spot on. We did replace the dial cover. The dial string is in tact, the original speaker is in great condition and sounds great. Grill cloth looks great. This radio easily tunes in stations from across California and the push button work great. The wooden case we believe has the original finish. This is absolutely a beautiful radio. This receiver is in fair cosmetic condition. The biggest issue is a dent on the back corner (next to the fuse holder). It appears to be largely cosmetic, as no components seem damaged inside. Other than that, it looks pretty good for it’s age. It includes the top and bottom covers. I see no obvious signs of modification under the chassis and I’d say it’s all original. This one will make an excellent candidate for restoration! This piece of equipment is believed to have not been used in years (possibly decades). It will almost certainly need some level of service. This was probably one of the most popular P-Box kits, and this one is unassembled! These are becoming very difficult to find. The plastic case is in excellent condition for its age, with only minor scratches and blemishes. The plastic tab is still firmly attached, these are often missing. The kit has the inner cardboard box, these too are often missing from opened kits. Both seals are broken and in poor condition, see photos. Complete with all the original paperwork. The kit operates on one AA battery, and one 22-1/2 volt battery. You can use two ordinary 9-volt batteries connected in series, or see our other listings, for a 22.5 volt battery we may have. Vintage Ampro speaker with 12 Jensen. Very clean inside, outside shows lots of wear. Speaker reads out at 13.6 Ohms on my Fluke meter–you should be able to get away with that on a 16 ohm impedance selector or transformer tap if you end up using this rather than keeping it for display purposes. Rare Original Vintage Crosley D25CE Chartreuse 1950s Dashboard Radio. Very good cosmetic condition for its age with some minor scratches but no cracks. It is missing 2 clock knobs and therefor I cant check the clock. Radio works fine after warm up. I dont know how to check the phonograph outlet but you can see this radio has been well cared for so Im guessing alls good. I wiped it down with a damp soapy cloth but it could probably use a little more cleaning and some metal polish. Please look at the pictures carefully.
