This is a Sentinel vacuum tube tabletop radio from the 1940s, featuring a handsome wood cabinet, classic Art Deco grille styling, and all three original control knobs. A beautiful preserved, pristine, conditioned, art deco, Bakelite case all original no replacement parts pieces repaint etc. There’s no cracks in casing has a few usage age scratches. I’ve cleaned up for photos/presentation. Also the electrical cord has no tearing or damage. The bullet name no affiliation to the Steve McQueen movie. The knobs work on- off and dial rotate. They are part of my description. I like to point out imperfections whereas you may see other listings descriptions where they don’t and only reference to see photos and you try to find them. I do not plug in these old radios due to age wiring and old tubes. If you want you can take to a professional. I have them on display only in my collection. I’m not sure of year made. I’m guessing 1950s/60s approximately 65 years old. 12″ long and 7″ wide to bullet nose tip and 6high.

Vintage Zenith H615 brown Bakelite tabletop tube radio in very nice overall condition. Features a beautiful glossy brown Bakelite cabinet, large center tuning dial, gold-tone speaker grille, integrated carrying handle and original back. Radio powers on and works. Receives multiple radio stations. Tuning dial moves properly through the range. Tuning control operates. Volume/power control operates. Red indicator light on top illuminates when powered on. Speaker produces audio. No additional servicing or extended testing performed. Reasonable offers welcome, happy to work with buyers. The brown Bakelite cabinet is in very nice vintage condition and presents exceptionally well. The body retains an attractive glossy finish and has no major cracks or breaks observed. The front is especially nice, with the large center dial face, gold-tone speaker grille, Zenith lettering and surrounding trim all presenting well. The dial is in good condition and the indicator moves when the tuning control is operated. Both brown control knobs are present and intact. If you’re an uncompromising collector of antique technology, make sure to check out all my listings after you look at this one. I don’t think you’ll find a better, broader or more balanced assortment of technical antiques anywhere — hundreds of listings each year, almost all of them featuring eye-popping “gee whiz” gadgetry in exceptional original condition. Here’s a nice Fada “Cloud” radio that dates to the mid-40′s. The radio is original throughout, including the back and the grill cloth card. No cabinet damage, just scattered scuffs in the surface of the polystyrene, most of which are on the bottom. On the sides of the radio are spots/areas of brown residue of some type that I have not attempted to remove. As you can see in the photos, the radio has not been touched in decades. It will need some cleaning and some polishing, along with necessary/appropriate electrical updating and possibly some new tubes. It is NOT working. Dial string is working, and the dial cover is clear. On/off volume switch appears to be working — mechanically at least. When the radio is plugged in, it does not power up. To repeat: this is a non-working radio. It is being offered for collecting/historical purposes only. If you want a working radio, and you don’t have the skills or resources required to undertake restoration or repair, this radio is not for you.
