The item for sale is an Original Vintage Philco 64 Hippo Radio. Has been repainted orange, but looks like it was repainted a long time ago, and the paint is sort of coming off. With a great look to it and nice colors. Showing some scratching and wear and marks on the packaging, has a tear in the top, from age and use. In excellent shape for the age, none the less! This is for an awesome Philco twin/dual speaker mid century modern tube radio circa 19958 or 59. The actual color on this according to philco literature is called salmon but I’ve seen it referred to as orange and also pink. Whatever you call its the people’s choice as far as color goes with only turquoise a distant 2nd. I also put 2 model #s in the description because both were seen several times in my research and actually several others also. Most of any issues are covered in condition description but I will say I just noticed that I somehow managed to miss cleaning the front grill. Its packed now so nothing I can do about it. Cosmetically Its really gorgeous especially for a 50+ year old radio. I wish all the radio’s I get were this nice. It measures approximately 12 1/2 wide x 8″high x 3 1/2″deep and weighs a little under 4 lbs. I have other vintage electronic listed in separate auctions and will be listing lots more in the coming weeks. That’s a proven track record of integrity and honesty. No unmentioned missing parts or saying its in excellent condition and then you look and see scratches and missing paint. Just a straight honest description of whats there , GOOD & BAD. But be nice I make a mistake once in awhile. I sell “ALL” my vintage electronics , “as is for parts or repair” Please read the reasons below. Vintage Deco MCM era Teletone Wood Teak Orange Tube Radio 1948′s. This is a fantastic piece made by the Tele-Tone Radio Corp , NY NY. It was made in 1948 and categorized as a broadcast receiver. The power type is. AC/DC-set / 105 – 125 Volt with a table model shape. It has been sitting in my grandfathers basement for 30yrs. Very Nice Working late 1930s 40s musicairi catalin radio in great condition tuning dial needs cleaning/lube? Its a little stiff in spots, cord is bad but I still plugged it in only got 1 station im in the northern rural with no antenna so maybe that’s why, front cloth has some stains. The colors and swirl patterns are very nice don’t see any cracks looks pretty good, im going to try and get better pictures these aren’t the best.
