Was gonna fix it decided not to. Tubes have been changed to 12SK7. Last pic shows a resistor blown i cut it out but havent replaced it.

German tube radio, built 1956/57 by the famous SABA company, Villingen, black forest. FOR 220-240 VAC only! If you live in a country with 110-120 VAC please use a step-up transformer for 230 VAC. Restored electrically , working perfect! Signs of age and use on the cabinet, varnishing is chipping off on some areas, chassis is facilely rusty. Typical design of the 1950ies. This radio has been restored electrically and optically. In that period I got a lot of experience with these radios. THIS RADIO IS WORKING PERFECT, GREAT SOUND AND RECEIPT! But it has signs of age and use! Varnishing is chipping off on some areas – see fotos! Also chassis is rusty, but this does not affect any functionality. Whole radio has a lot of history and patina. Please have a look at the fotos, it looks great, anyway, and will be of course an eyecatcher in your living room. Very good, but aged. The dial glass is mint! This radio has 2 full band speaker (greencones) in front and 2 tweeters to the left and right for full 3D sound. The chassis has been restored electrically. The tubes are new or used in mint condition. Magic eye EM80 is NEW. All bad capacitors are changed , the mechanic is working perfect. The switches are in good working condition. All knobs and keys are original. The chassis itself is cleaned as good as possible but rusty. This rust is on surface of metal and does not affect any functionality. Are all in excellent working condition. There are following tubes inside. EC92 , EC92 , ECH81 , EF85 , EABC80 , EL84 , EZ80 , EM80. The filters were adjusted using a Grundig AS5 test transmitter. Fantastic sound, a lot of bass and clear highs! Perfect receipt on FM. The radio is factory prepaired to work on 220-240 VAC. If you live in a country with 110-120 VAC please use a step up transformer for 220-230 VAC! The dimensions of the radio are: 620 x 390 x 280 mm / 24.4 x 15.4 x 11 inch. This particular radio has the less common Maroon and ivory color combination with the handle on top as well as the tone knob on the right side. Zenith was founded as “Chicago Radio Laboratory” (CRL) in 1919 by Ralph H. Mathews and Karl Hassel to build small quantities of receivers primarily for radio amateurs. This is a Siltronic Co. This has Mallory capacitors and GE tubes. This amp can be powered by 110 VAC and turns on fuse and cap to it are missing, there is a dent in the housing and one tube socket is chipped. The tubes all tested good, none are shorted some gave readings of 45 on the tester others as high as 75 may have scratches all other components good. The transformer secondary are uncommon see the diagram. I was told this was from the military taken back from a war. The tube tester used is an Eico 635, all the tubes are functional.
