Collins 51S-1 Vintage Tube Ham Radio Receiver Winged Emblem Serial Number 1655. This receiver is in good working condition. Our tech ran it for a few hours and found that it received strong signals on all ham bands, and the crystal calibrator works as well! Cosmetically, the receiver is in good shape, but not great. The first thing you’ll notice is that the fasteners on the lid are not original. The faceplate has some wax-like residue near the headphone jack. Other than that, the receiver looks pretty nice! We’re including a power cord and copy of the user manuals, but no other accessories are included. This is a vintage piece of equipment, and unless specifically noted above, it has not been fully restored with new components. It will inevitably need maintenance, however it’s impossible to know whether that will be next week or a few years down the road. Unless you are capable of doing this work yourself (or have access to someone who can), we suggest you revisit the idea of whether this is the right equipment for you.
