Up for sale is a. Vintage Western Electric 7A Amplifier with two 216 A Tennis Ball Tubes and one 101 D tennis ball tube. The pair of 216 A tubes look good both are tight on the bases. The single 101 D is no good (has some damage inside, glass rattling inside). The actual amp is in excellent condition with light wear to the surface, one knob has a chip, the wood box is in very good condition. I have not been able to test the tubes as I do not find the settings on my roll chart, if you can tell me the settings for a Triplet 3413 A, I will test them. For consideration is a RCA Victor Tube Radio model 16T3. This unit has been tested and works however, the tuning string is broken, and will need to be restrung if your intention is to use and listen to this radio. Otherwise it seemed to operate fine, and cosmetically it looks really good. There is some nicks and scratches to the case, and internally it is pretty dusty, but overall nice and clean, and displays excellently. It measures about 17 1/2 inches wide, 10 1/2 inches tall. 8 1/2 inches deep, and weighs over 17 lbs. This is a great, rare model, perfect for any collection. FADA vintage model 711 Catalin Radio Polished Maroon Bakelite, nice, works well! Of course most were in Spanish but perhaps the radio is bilingual being it has lived all its life in El Paso, Texas. Most of the schematic is still on the bottom. This radio belonged to my wife’s mother and somehow got cracked sometime during one of our moves. I thought I would surprise my wife and restore the radio but now she feels that at our age it is best to sell it. I found a U tube video about repairing cracks on plastic and Bakelite radio cases and then ordered the Plast-Aid kit. I did everything the video said, cleaned, grooved the crack, rough sanded it, cleaned again, taped the outside of the crack, and applied the two part agent out doors as this is something you do not want to do in the house. I also used mesh to reinforce as it too was recommended. I let it cure for a week and then removed the tape and cleaned and lightly sanded again. I feel it came out great and strong. I did not attempt to fill anything and a friend said to paint it but I feel that even with the crack line it is too pretty to paint. I then used #2 plastic polish and then car wax to bring out its beauty. I realize that perhaps it sounds like the radio is a basket case but it is not. The chassis and case are clean and free of corrosion. The plastic dial cover has been cleaned and polished and while not perfect it is presentable. The antenna is also good. This is really a wonderful working radio that would stand tall in a collection or just to use.
