This is a beautiful piece of vintage Eico ham gear. The only cosmetic blemish I can see are some small chips in the cabinet’s black paint. From what I can tell, it’s all original (paint, components, etc) and unmodified. We removed the tubes for use in another project, sorry. Other than that, it’s being shown just as we found it. This equipment came from the estate of a ham operator and has been tucked away in a storage unit for approximately 15 years. We’ve made the decision to sell these old “boat anchors” 100% as-is and untested. There are a few reasons for this, but it essentially comes down to the fact that they almost always need some level of service after sitting this long. Further, it’s simply not cost effective to pay our technician to spend time going through them. It may or may not need components replaced (caps, resistors, tubes, etc), controls cleaned/lubricated, alignment, and so on. Unless you are qualified and capable of working on this unit yourself, or are willing to pay a qualified individual to do the work for you, we suggest you revisit the idea of whether this is the right equipment for you. This listing is for a true vintage RCA Victor Radio with Shortwave International, Standard Broadcast, and Special Services settings. This is one of the old school Radios in a nice wooden cabinet that does it all! I plugged this RCA in and personally listened to TV broadcast as well as radio broadcast. I even have video of it to show it working. The wooden cabinet is by no means perfect because it has a few scratches and a small chip or two to the veneer, but nothing too bad as you can see in the pictures. The volume adjust just fine and the turning knob moves the needle just as it should to change channels. Looking from the back the small wooden trim piece on the inside is missing but it served absolutely no purpose anyway. The cord is in pretty good condition with only a few minor nicks. Some of the buttons in the top center that I assume are for presets stick a little when pushed and could probably use a little cleaning. Two of them are harder to push than the others. The radio is larger than the normal older RCA models. It measures roughly 13″ tall, 10″ deep, and 18 wide. I consider all the pictures part of the description. I try my best to describe everything I see but sometimes small details may slip by, so check out the pictures really good because what you see is exactly what you get.
