LOTS OF STATIONS ON THE DIAL… AND GOOD TONE CONTROL. THE TONE CONTROL AND ON/OFF ARE ON THE LEFT…. THE BAND SELECTOR AND THE TUNING IS ON THE RIGHT. THE ONLY REAL FLAW WITH THIS RADIO IS THAT THE BOTTOM HALF OF THE BAND SELECTOR KNOB HAS BEEN BORED-OUT AND WILL NOT CHANGE BANDS. IT IS TOO LOOSE. WE ARE INCLUDING ANOTHER BAND SELECTOR LOWER PART WITH A BROKEN TAB THAT ACTUALLY WORKS. IF YOU WANT TO CHANGE TO SHORT WAVE, JUST PUT THIS PART IN PLACE OF THE KNOB NOW THERE. SEE THE LAST GALLERY PHOTO. SIZE: 16 wide X 14 hi X 11 deep. WORKING RADIO WITH MANY UPGRADES. TWO BAND SELECTOR BOTTOMS ARE INCLUDED — ONE WITH A TAB THAT DOES NOT WORK… AND ONE WITHOUT A TAB THAT DOES WORK. EITHER I DO NOT KNOW HOW TO CHANGE THE PRE-SET KNOBS OR THEY DO NOT WORK. THE CAT’S EYE TUBE IS BRIGHT BUT DOES NOT SEEM TO MOVE. THE BAKELITE FACEPLATE IS A LITTLE HEAT WARPED AND NOT CONNECTED ON THE UPPER LEFT CORNER. WOOD SHELL IN PRETTY GOOD CONDITION WITH MODERATE WEAR FOR ITS AGE. THERE IS A LITTLE VENEER FLAKE MISSING ON THE UPPER LEFT FRONT CORNER WHICH CAN BE SEEN IN THE GALLERY PHOTOS. It was pulled straight from an estate. This radio currently does not power on. It has its original retro feet and a very cool multicolored dial. The plastic front of this radio is damaged on one side. The wood exterior of this radio is in great shape! There are a few minor signs of wear and tear, but overall it looks great. Please refer to the photos for details. The radio measures 21.5″ x 9.5″ x 14. Even when they’ve been described as fully or partially functioning. We are located at 107 S. TONIGHT AS I WAS LISTENING HERE IN PITTSBURGH, I HEARD WCBS IN NEW YORK LIKE IT WAS DOWN THE STREET. I ALSO GOT STATIONS FROM PHILLY & BOSTON. THE DIAL WAS LOADED WITH SIGNALS. THIS IS ALSO A FULL RANGE FM RADIO WHICH IS UNUSUAL FOR 1948. THE SIGNAL WAS NOT AS STRONG…. BUT I WAS ONLY USING THE COPPER ANTENNA INSIDE THE RADIO. THE FM WILL PROBABLY REQUIRE SOME ADDITIONAL AERIAL WIRE. APPROX SIZE: 19 x 11 x 12 HIGH. CONDITION: TESTED / WORKING. FM WILL NEED AN ADDITIONAL AERIAL. ELECTRONICALLY THIS RADIO IS IN TOP CONDITION. THE WOOD FINISH IS PRETTY GOOD. THERE IS A WEAR SPOT ON THE TOP LEFT SIDE. THERE IS SOME CRAZING OF THE FINISH ON THE RIGHT AND LEFT ROUNDED SHOULDERS. Condition is very good. The wood is in good condition with only a superficial split in the front. No chips, cracks, or repairs. The case may have been recoated based on the drips on the bottom. The front of the dadio is good, with one replaced knob. The grille is mostly straight. The speaker fabric has some wear as can be seen in the photos. The case has scratches on the sides. The original paper label is on the inside of the case. The radio comes with the original box which is brittle and missing the top flaps.
