Silvertone was a store brand used by Sears, Roebuck & Company for its line of consumer electronics and musical instruments from 1915 to 1972. The Silvertone brand was introduced by Sears in 1915 with a hand-cranked phonograph. Silvertone Radios are prized & sought after by collectors around the globe. We present this piece exactly as it was when acquired. This radio has been tested & it does work. The photos are an accurate depiction of the condition. No attempts to clean this item have been made. It does show wear. There is discoloration, scuffs & scratches. He dimensions are 6.5 wide by 5 tall and 4 deep. This will make a great addition to any home or collection. Vintage 1940′s Crosley Model 11-118U “bullseye” tube radio. Small size only measures 9 wide. It does power up and hums but i couldn’t get it to tune in any stations… Maybe needs new tubes? This is an awesome little Emerson “Emersonette” model 540A in red. I plugged it in, but I couldn’t get any sound out of it at all. Has a small chip with a hairline coming from it in the back top left corner, and a hairline from the back top right corner going to the front. Has a chassis of RE-55, some of the paper that tells the model is gone, Scratched area on top with missing paint. Some other tiny spots missing paint , bottom feet missing some paint. Cord is very pliable. Got a channel had some static as usual with these older radios. 6 1/4″L X 4 3/4″ T X 4.5Deep. The radio is yellowish beige not white.
