LATE 1920′S / EARLY 1930′S Art Deco MUSIC MASTER SHELF SPEAKER. TESTED AND FOUND TO BE WORKING AT 3980 OHMS. SPEAKER SHELL SIZE APPROX 12 HIGH. UNIT IS APP ROX 12″ ACROSS AND 6 & 1/2″ DEEP. It takes 12 or 15 seconds to warm up. Dial lamp works, Tone control works well, Tuning is smooth and radio sounds good. With a good antenna it is a fairly sensitive radio. For SW, a longer SWL-type antenna works alot better. I have used an outside 60′ wire antenna. It sometimes helps to have an earth ground connected, just depends on the band/frequency. I repainted its steel case, & put new decals on both the front cover & the panel (I have not put a protective finish over the decals, but I probably would if it it was going to be used/handled alot). Tubes: 6SK7, 6SA7, 6SQ7, 6SC7, 25L6, & 25Z6. It might benefit from a good alignment job, but works well as-is. Includes a spare front cover decal set, and a copy of the SAMS technical/alignment/service note.

Restored RCA Victor Little Master Vintage Honduras Mahogany tube radio 1948

For your consideration is this gorgeous wooden RCA Victor tabletop tube radio – Little Master model. A nice clean simplistic Deco style – built in 1947/48. The rounded top and the sides are Honduras mahogany veneer and the front is solid ash or maple. The radio is a bit of a rarity because it is very uncommon to find a radio made from mahogany – this is what produces the luscious rusty red colour. The cabinet is sound with no breaks or cracks. The radio has been restored inside and out – the lacquer finish has been professionally restored to its original condition. You can see from the pictures – it is really beautiful. This is a working radio ready to play, display and enjoy – the sound is clear and crisp with no hum with its extra-large speaker. As with all my radios it is electrically sound – the tubes are strong, all the capacitors have been replaced and the cord has been replaced with one with a polarized plug. Featuring: Honduras Mahogany on the top and sides, thus a distinctive red/rust colour and an Ash or Maple front; a wooden grille backed with good reproduction grille cloth. The dial is glass and not plastic it contains a working dial light, the RCA Victor logo is on it; the knobs are original as is the printed back. The measurements are: 12″ across, 7.5″ high and 7 wide. Every vintage tube radio I sell has been thoroughly serviced – tubes tested, components checked and then the unit is lubricated and cleaned inside and out. The work performed can be seen in the pictures of the chassis and/or found in the radio description.
