Item: RARE 1952/1953 Vintage Philips BX320A Bakelite Tabletop Tube Radio- Belgium Made. Great candidate for parts or restoration- case is in great shape with no cracks, one small chip on the left center rear of case (see photos) some scratches, scuffs, and wear & tear may be present to radio. Tuner knob and needle move smoothly and it appears all other knobs feel as they work as they should. Broadcast Receiver – or past WW2 Tuner. Superheterodyne (common); ZF/IF 452 kHz. Broadcast, Long Wave and Short Wave. Power type and voltage. Alternating Current supply (AC) / 110; 125; 145; 200; 220; 245 Volt. Permanent Magnet Dynamic (PDyn) Loudspeaker (moving coil). Working Vintage Tabletop Grundig Model 4570 U/Tube Stereo Made in W. Works as expected and has normal wear and tear for its age. There is some discoloration on the side down by the bottom. Thank you for looking.
I don’t know anything about its history, and I have not plugged the radio in because I have heard that plugging in radios after they have sat for a long time is not good. This radio appears to be been restored in its recent past. There is even a tag from the company that worked on it before. I’m glad to answer any questions and thank you for looking.
