Never seen another brand like this. Very nice overall, no cracks, chips or repairs. Very small measuring 7×4.5×5. Minor scratches to be expected with age. Plays with antennae improves performance. Tubes checked and good. Has had one cap replaced, should be checked by tech due to age several wires frayed. Speaker good, new AC cord all done before I got this. Dial has a little staining probably could be cleaned up. A rare radio ready for display. I shoot these with a high resolution camera and didn’t look at that one picture download all at once and just missed it. With the naked eye almost invisible as you can see in the lst added photo but visible when shot from upward angle. Can be felt with the fingernail on the lst bar but not the second bar. We offer here a rare vintage 1930s radio. It is the largest Bakelite radio we have ever had. It is 18 inches tall x 14 inches wide and 10 inches deep. Without packing it weighs 27 pounds. The Chassis is marked Made in U. And the Speaker is marked London England. This is a remarkable multi band radio. We believe it is from the Model 203 series. If anyone knows more about the model please feel free to comment. The cabinet has a nice shine and in very good condition with very light wear and some scratches on the bottom. The line cord has been changed. It has a European plug but, I plugged it in with a converter and the pilot light turned on. The tubes did not turn on and the radio did NOT work. T he dial cord works and moved the indicator. The knobs are perfect with some wear and the dial is good with one light spot and a tiny chip at the bottom edge. The grill cloth looks like it crept up leaving a bottom corner at each side above the dial as a gap. Please review my photos as they are part of my description and feel free to ask questions. Pictures tell story on this Beautifully restored Arvin 444 Mid 40′s chrome 4 tube radio. Condition as good as it gets. A stunning radio that you would be hard pressed to find a Better EXAMPLE ANYWHERE. Working but these weren’t stellar performers to start with but plays with attached antennae wire. Due to fickleness and age of these radios cant guarantee working condition but shouldn’t be a problem as I pack very well.. Thanks and good luck.
