This Ranger is in pretty good cosmetic condition. The cabinet has been repainted but looks fairly well done. The faceplate is original, and while there are some chips in the paint on the edges/corners, it looks good overall with all the printing in great condition. All controls feel good. It appears that a new power cord has been installed (still has the original fused-plug), and there may be a few other parts replaced inside. The larger capacitors all look original. The transmitter was briefly powered on. This equipment is part of a very large silent-key estate we recently acquired, all of which has been in a storage unit for approximately 15 years. We have not done any testing beyond what is specifically mentioned above. There are a few reasons for this, but it essentially comes down to the fact that they almost always need some level of service and it’s simply not cost effective to pay our technician to spend time going through them. It may or may not need components replaced (caps, resistors, tubes, etc), controls cleaned/lubricated, alignment, and so on. Unless you are qualified and capable of working on this unit yourself, or are willing to pay a qualified individual to do the work for you, we suggest you revisit the idea of whether this is the right equipment for you. This item will be packaged using our InstaPak foam-in-bag system, ensuring the utmost protection! Bags filled with a chemical mixture expand around your item and harden to form a protective, yet forgiving, foam barrier. IMPORTANT: You will only receive what is photographed. If it is not shown in the photos, it is not included in the sale. This includes items such as original packaging, accessories, manuals, and so on. Speaking of manuals, it is strongly recommended that you thoroughly read it before attempting to operate the equipment. If a manual is not included in this sale, you should download one. This old transceiver looks pretty good! The cabinet has a few scratches on it as well as an engraving on the top (see photos), but the faceplate looks terrific with the original plastic film still intact. It appears to be all original inside and out. We’ve briefly powered it up for about ten seconds. The tube filaments glow and the meter lamps illuminate. No further testing has been done. The first thing I’d do is change those capacitors, because when they’re this old they could go out at any time. This transceiver looks pretty good. The cabinet has been repainted and the carrying handle has electrical tape around it, but other than that it looks original. The faceplate looks great. As you can see in the photos, the cabinet is missing the two front feet. Inside, it’s clean and appears original and free of modifications. We do have a power supply, however we weren’t given the interconnect cable. Because of this, we’re unable to do any testing and must sell the radio as-is. This equipment is part of a very large silent-ley estate we recently acquired, all of which has been in a storage unit for approximately 15 years. This transceiver is in good cosmetic condition, but certainly not perfect. The cabinet has it’s share of scuffs and scratches. The faceplate looks good, but could benefit from a detailed cleaning as it’s a little dirty/dusty from storage. Some of the screws that hold the top and bottom covers in place are either missing or not original. Other than that, it looks good! We’ve briefly powered up the radio. This equipment is part of a very large silent-ley estate we recently acquired, all of which has been in a storage unit for approximately 15 years. This receiver is in relatively good cosmetic condition, but certainly not perfect. The biggest issue is that the silver lid has been repainted and has some smalls dents in it. Other than that, the cabinet’s paint is original with the expected scuffs and scratches. It still has it’s original rubber feet, however two of them are starting to crack. The faceplate is certainly original and looks good. The knobs has dust in the small grooves as a result of years in storage, but these can be cleaned up with patience and Q-Tips. Inside, it looks complete and all original. I see no modifications. The receiver powers up; the tube filaments glow and meter lamps illuminate, but no further testing has been done. This receiver is large/heavy and will require lots of packaging material. Having said all that, local pick-up is welcomed and encouraged. This equipment is part of a very large silent-key estate we recently acquired, all of which has been in a storage unit for approximately 15 years. We have not done any testing beyond what is specifically mentioned above. This transceiver looks pretty good. The biggest cosmetic issue is that the previous owner painted the cabinet with a shade of green that differs from the original “Heathkit green”, and there are some flakes in the paint as Heathkit didn’t use a primer. Inside, it looks all original. You’ll notice the rubber bands are broken, but that’s extremely common. This equipment is part of a very large silent-ley estate we recently acquired, all of which has been in a storage unit for approximately 15 years. Heathkit HA-20 Vintage 6-Meter Ham Radio Tube Amplifier (unmodified, looks good)

This is a very good looking piece of Heathkit equipment. It’s all original in regards to cosmetic and electronics. We didn’t take it out of the cabinet so we can’t take off the RF cage’s cover, but the tubes are there. We noticed that the meter switch (grid, power, high voltage, current) is frozen in place. This can likely be freed up with electrical contact cleaner. Also, the shaft of the grid control is loose and will almost come out of the chassis (see the last photo). Because of these issues, we haven’t powered the amp on at all. Overall, this will make an excellent candidate for restoration! This equipment is part of a very large silent-ley estate we recently acquired, all of which has been in a storage unit for approximately 15 years. Vintage Philco Model 20 Cathedral Radio 1930′s. The radio needs an antenna. The channel comes in low until you put your finger on the metal clip for the antenna. No humming or popping when going threw the dial. This may have been restored recently. Though I didn’t go in and check caps or have done any restoration. My need to be check out and serviced by a professional or. That knows more about this model of radio. Looks Great giving its age. Please see pictures 4 & 7. They will be marked to indicate where they go. The one vacuum tube (one of the 71a’s) has a piece of glass rattling around inside the tube. It is a piece of insulator that chipped off inside and does not affect the tubes function. Also, It’s missing the back panel. Not sure if these radios came with one. The plug appears to be original. Normally there would be a paper cover for the contacts but is missing now. Please mouse over the pictures and determine condition. If you have any questions please ask. All sales are final. Give me the opportunity to rectify the situation. The item “Vintage Philco Model 20 Cathedral Radio 1930′s Working Looks Great” is in sale since Thursday, January 9, 2020. This amp looks really good. The cabinet has been repainted and is a bit off the original “Heathkit green” but still looks terrific. The front panel is in great shape. Inside, everything looks original and unmodified. All controls feel good except for the band switch, which is a little tight but still works. My guess is that this can be remedied with electrical contact cleaner. We’ve briefly powered the amp to ensure it turns on and the tube filaments lit up, which they do. We’ve done no further testing in the amp. Please note that no tubes are included. The tubes shown in the photos are only there to show filaments lighting up. They have since been removed for use in another project. This equipment is part of a very large silent-ley estate we recently acquired, all of which has been in a storage unit for approximately 15 years. We have not done any testing beyond what is specifically mentioned above. There are a few reasons for this, but it essentially comes down to the fact that they almost always need some level of service and it’s simply not cost effective to pay our technician to spend time going through them.
