It was part of a HUGE radio collection. This radio was built in West Germany and it appears to be in very nice condition. When I plugged it in, it did not power on. My guess is that one of the tubes is bad. As you can see from the pictures, the radio looks pretty clean inside and out but I’m sure that it could use a good/thorough cleaning as it had been in storage for years. The cabinet is nice and solid and the original finish looks very nice. There are the usual scrapes and imperfections that you would expect on a piece from this era. The dials seem to be working as they should be and the pushbuttons all seem to work. I do not have the proper equipment to test this piece, or the tubes, any further. Loewe Opta Venus Stereo 6786W. German tube radio, build 1961 by the famous Loewe Opta company, Berlin, Germany. Restored completely, working perfect! Typical design of the early 1960ies. This radio has been restored electrically and optically. In that period I got a lot of experience with these radios. THIS RADIO IS WORKING PERFECT, GREAT SOUND AND RECEIPT! Please have a look at the fotos, it looks great, and will be of course an eyecatcher in your living room. The dial glass is in best condition. This radio has 2 full band speakers in front. The chassis has been restored electrically. The tubes are new or used in mint condition. Magic eye EM84 is NEW. All bad capacitors are changed , the mechanic is working perfect. The switches are in good working condition. All knobs and keys are original. Are all in excellent working condition. There are following tubes inside. ECC85 , ECH81 , EF89 , EF80 , EC92 , ECL86 , ECL86 , EM84. The filters were adjusted using a Grundig AS5 test transmitter. Fantastic sound, a lot of bass and clear highs! Perfect receipt on FM. This radio has a push – pull end stage with 2 x ECL86 THIS RADIO IS MONO in all ranges. MP3 or CD can be connected with a special adapter cable , that will come with the radio no extra charge! The radio is factory prepaired to work on 220/230 VAC. As well on 110/120 VAC. But you might need an adapter for the power plug. The radio will be packed very well, box in box, extremely strong. Here is a nice 1920′s legendary LOEWE OE333 (Ortsempfänger) with a reproduced bakelite case. It is one of the most beautiful radios ever made. You can see in the photographs a nice condition with small failings. The coils and the coilholder are also replicas, the other parts are matching. The tube is an original LOEWE 3NFB and works but here very quiet. In another OE333 the tube arrived at 67DB but here only 60DB with helping hands, please have a look at my testing Video. Rest assured it will arrive at your home in the same fine condition in which it leaves mine. Picture and text are made as best i can, please ask if you have any questions.
