Here is a vintage RO-LA Coin, coin operated motel radio manufactured by Robert Lawrence Electronic Corporation of Minneapolis Minnesota. The instructions say it will operate as ordinary radio for 2 hours of continuous reception for one quarter. Will take up to 4 quarters, do not use dimes or nickels. The coin function mechanism has been removed from the inside and the radio is rewired to play without it. The radio does power on and lights up and plays stations. The volume/power knob is a bit stiff to turn. The speaker does have a background hum when listening to the radio. The outside finish has wear, scratches, color loss and discoloration from age, as shown in the photos. Please view photos for condition.
