We have a hard-to-find vintage 1954-55 table-top radio. Made in Germany by Grundig. This model is number 2043 W/3D. The wood is in very good condition for the age. See photos for the wear and current state. The material over the speaker section is pristine, no damage seen, again refer to photos. The unit is clean, no odor, and powers on, and has static sound through speaker. The cord is original and has a hand set switch to turn the radio on and off. The cord is in very good condition, and the plug itself has a loose prong, but still works. There is repair needed. The dial knobs turn, but the connection from the tuners to the channels are loose, and don’t currently function. The speaker works, as it gives out the static noise that one hears between stations, where the dial is sitting now. The buttons are all original, and sit as seen in the photo’s. They all punch in and release. The plastic grill (bottom front) is cracked and missing two original screws. There is a modern small nail holding the middle part now (see photos). The chassis is clean, and the inside lights up when turned on. The sides are in really nice condition, and the grids are intact, very good quality, and clean. The unit measures 21.5 x 9 x 14.5 inches. The radio is heavy and weighs approximately 15-20 pounds. Here is some information about this make of radio we found on a radio historical website. Broadcast, Long Wave, Short Wave plus FM or UHF. Power type and voltage. Alternating Current supply (AC) / 110; 125; 220; 240 Volt. Model: 2043WS/3D – Grundig Radio-Vertrieb, RVF. Tablemodel with Push Buttons. A rare & wonderful decoration piece, or easy repair project for the experienced. The cost is based on the. And weight of the parcel. This is a large and heavy radio. This radio is a nice original with that great vintage sound. This radio worked when tested and sounded great. I did not have an antenna hooked up to it which I believe you would need to receive on these bands. The magic eye does not light up. The back is present, I did not remove it to look inside. The cabinet is in overall real nice condition, but there are a few issues. There is veneer missing from the bottom front corners which I tried to show in the photos. All knobs and dials are present and seem to work as they should. This item will be packed safely and securely but I can not be responsible for the tubes. Scratches and surface ware to the top cabinet and dial paint backing is chipping (2nd and 3rd photo). The remainder of the cabinet has some scratching and minor wear but the worst is on the top. Vintage Art Deco 1940′s GEC Model B. C 4750 Large Wooden Cased Valve Tube Radio. This stunning 1940′s piece is in a good condition with there being no obvious faults or defects upon inspection. There is some age related scuffing in places to the wooden casing but this isnt to severe and does nothing to detract from the piece when on display. The radio powers up with the glass panel having a backing light behind. The radio is very impressive in size and measures 57cm in width with a height of 35cm and a depth of 23cm.
