German tube radio, built 1955/56. The radio was restored. Tubes were checked and replaced. All critical capacitors, defective resistors and the most of the elkos were replaced. The chassis was cleaned, all individual parts were cleaned, the wooden cabinet was cleaned and polished, all mechanical parts were reoiled, all contacts were refreshed, the UKW wire was replaced, technically checked, etc. SABA Schwarzwald Automatic 6-3D tube radio model from 1955/56. The engine of the automatic works well. The 8 tubes and the original speakers are in perfect working condition. The magic eye is new. Voltage regulator works from 110 to 220V. It´s ready to plug in. It is possible to connect external players like mp3 and other. Original varnish (not revarnished). The wood and varnishing is in a good condition for his age, some scratches here and there. Only on the one side, on the left the varnish was peeling, so it was painted on the spots. It is cleaned and polished. Principle: Superhet general, ZF/IF 472/6750 kHz. Wave Range: Long wave, medium wave, short wave and FM. Dimension: 630 x 401 x 285 mm / 24.8 x 15.8 x 11.2 inch. Net weight: 14.5 kg / 31 lb 15 oz. Original price: 469.00 DM. Acquired from an estate. This listing is for a vintage circa 1930′s, Radio Lamp Company of America, Radio Broadcast Receiver Lamp. Art Deco design, metal construction, brass finish, with radio chassis in the base, lamp in center column with speaker at the top. Three switches controls the radio/lamp, one tuner dial, power/ volume knob, and switch in back for lamp. The dial scale is contained in a ornate decorated escutcheon surrounded by a double row of hearts, with original cloth for radio ventilation. The shade is 14-3/4 diameter with a row of holes in the top to emit speaker sound. The lamp is in working condition. There is wear scratches to the brass finish from age and use. THIS IS A WORKING 1920s ATWATER KENT RADIO STORE ADVERTISING LAMP. THIS RARE AND ORNATE METAL LAMP IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION WITH NO DAMAGE AND WOULD HAVE BEEN USED IN THE OLD-TIME RADIO STORES IN THEIR ADVERTISING DISPLAYS. THE LAMP HAS A NICE AND EVEN AGED PATINA. IT SPORTS A COLORFUL DON PATTERSON GOLD TRIM SHADE, 7″ HIGH & 12″ ACROSS THE BOTTOM, ALTHOUGH THE PICTURES MAKE IT SEEM HIGHER AND LESS WIDE. STILL, IT IS IN NICE CONDITION AND IS ACTUALLY VINTAGE ITSELF AS IT WAS MADE IN THE MID-1980s OR EARLIER. THE REPLACEMENT CORD WAS ADDED ABOUT THE SAME TIME WITH A REPLICA OF AN OLD RESISTER CORD AND AN ACTUAL OLD PLUG. Please note the lamp shade was not made by Don Patterson but rather his predecessor Ralph Williams. Patterson, I had one of Ralph’s and that inspired me to make mine. Ralph’s was a good one and yours looks like it is the real thing. They had a brass gimp that could not be reproduced. Patterson for the information!
