Antique 1930s wooden cathedral radio made by Atwater Kent. Measures 14-1/4″ tall, 12-1/8″ across, and 8 deep. All original, as found from a local estate. Original finish with some wear. Wood is nice with no breaks or repairs. Tuning dial operates as it should. When plugged in it does not play. Restore it to play or use as is for its decorative value. The speaker is from the Frankfort, IN area. I do not have the proper equipment to test this horn speaker. I believe it to be 100% original. It looks really nice very clean and obviously well taken care of over the years. It still has the original speaker cable used to connect to the old battery sets. There are a few minor scrapes/scratches like you might expect on a piece from this era. Please be sure to preview all of the pictures so that you can determine the condition for yourself. It would make for a great addition to your vintage radio collection. I have included one picture of the radio as well. The radio is from the Frankfort, IN area. I do not have the proper equipment to test this radio nor have the tubes been tested. I believe it to be 100% original. All of the various dials and switches seem to work as they should. It is superbly clean obviously well taken care of over the years. The mahogany wood base still has its original finish that is in very nice condition. There are a few minor scrapes/scratches like you might expect on a piece from this era. All of the components look fabulous. The underside wiring looks nice. Please be sure to preview all of the pictures so that you can determine the condition for yourself. The radio needs a new AC power cord so I was unable to turn it on. He wood cabinet is nice and solid and the finish looks really beautiful. There are some minor imperfections like you might expect on a piece from this era. All of the various dials and switches seem to be turning/functioning as they should be. As you can see from the pictures, the chassis looks clean but the radio has been in storage for many years so I’m sure that it could use a good/thorough cleaning. VINTAGE 1920′S ATWATER KENT RECEIVING SET MODEL 20 TUBE RADIO IN MINTY / RESTORED CONDITION. PLEASE NOTE: I have no means of testing this out to see how this works – sorry!! Based on the condition – I want to say that this was restored at some point. I found some minor marks on the wood with most on the right side panel. The front metal panel is painted brown has a scratch below the Atwater Kent metal plaque as well. This comes just as pictured… The overall size is 6.25″ tall, 6.5″ deep and 19.5 across. Be sure to check out my other listings if you are into antique radios and equipment!! His house must have looked like a museum!! Sadly – electronics items of this vintage are outside my realm of experience so many of the items I have no clue on how to test them… Some of the radios are HUGE!!! I some how missed this radio in my other garage when I did all the other radios so this is my very last radio from the sales noted above! My goal is your satisfaction.
