Kemper Radio model K-52, a portable set made in Los Angeles , CA about 1927. It was a carry around set, so built well. Antenna fits in the back cover, batteries in compartment in back. Speaker is a built in horn. This one is VERY nice with no cosmetic damage of consequence considering its age. Some wear to the handle leather, but still strong enough to lift the set. All the battery connectors are there and the instruction sheet and data sheets are crisp white originals. No battery acid damage. It uses (4) 99 tubes, and one 120. Currently it has a Radiotron X99, (2) Cunningham UX 299, (1) Supertone UX199 and the output tube is a Radiotron UX120. I had it working years ago on power supplies and headphones. I think the speaker coil is open. The repair tag inside was a Grebe dealer in Oakland, CA who put in tubes in 1931. All the pinstriping is intact and crisp. The tuning and controls work well. Included is some data sheets and a copy of a write up from Radio News, May 1927. It is rather heavy and I’ll wrap each tube individually. Quite a piece of radio history.
