Color: Cream with multicolor flowers. 10.5″ wide x 7.5″ tall x 6.25 deep (see ruler photos). Tested: Powers on and picks up stations (not guaranteed for long-term daily use). Case shows wear, chipping, and paint loss consistent with age (see photos). Back panel intact with clear model markings and tube diagram. Power cord appears original and shows age. This is the Nile Green version of this speaker made to match up with the Philco Philco 514 radio! The metal cabinet was designed by Hollingsworth Pearce and it was hand-painted under the supervision of Mademoiselle Messaros! Philco promoted these radio/speaker sets by proclaiming. Now, for the first time, radio in color. Vivid colors to harmonize with your home. As you can see from the pictures, the speaker is in really nice condition for being 90 years old. Th ere are some minor paint scratches and wear in places like you might expect on a piece from this era. I was told that the speaker works but I do not have the proper equipment to test it out. It is a Philco 513 radio the Labrador Gray version of the Philco 511 series of radios. This is also a rare set! This is the Labrador Gray version of the Philco 511 series of radios! The metal cabinet was designed by Hollingsworth Pearce and it was hand-painted under the supervision of Mademoiselle Messaros! I believe that this radio is 100% original, or very close if not. The interior looks good bu t I’m sure that it could use a good/thorough cleaning. I was told that the radio works but I did not plug it in as I do not have the proper equipment to turn this radio on slowly. All of the various dials and switches seem to be working as they should be. It is the Nile Green Philco 214 speaker also very rare!
