This radio is in good condition for its age but does show some wear such as scuffs, scratches, marks, and areas of dirt (mainly on the chassis). Aside from that, the radio still looks pretty nice overall. We are including a “linear relay” cable with the radio. Unfortunately it is not working right so we must sell it AS-IS for parts or restoration. Please read our technician’s notes below. This item has been tested by our technician, a ham radio operator of more than 55 years. Here’s what he had to say: Tested the on both CW and SSB. The drive power is erratic and sometimes does not work at all. There is also no power output from the transmitter. Both the “Final Tuning” and “Driver Tuning” control shafts slipping and need adjustment. This could be the cause of the erratic power issues. If you have any questions about this equipment before or after purchasing, our tech will be happy to assist you. Up for your consideration is a Hallicrafters Co. Model H S-41W tube receiver, in good physical condition as seen in the photos. The one in the photos is the one you will receive. It looks like it was repainted at some point. This is a very nice unit, but as with all old electronics, there is no guarantee that it will work. Hallicrafters SR-160 Transceiver in fair but untested condition. I listed it FOR PARTS OR NOT WORKING because I have no way to test it and it has been hacked on. Look at the pic of the back and you can’t miss the huge square hole that was cut–for a fan I guess? Also notice the round hole in the top of the case. On the front the Hallicrafters “h” logo has been glued on and some glue came out around the edges. Inside it looks okay. But I think there should be a metal plate cover over the final tubes and there isn’t one. Anyway, I have no interest in this radio. FOR PARTS OR NOT WORKING.
