This powers up, Looks complete. Brought up on a variac and it did seem to work. The wire is crusty. Some of the electronic part/s may continue for another 50 years without need of replacement and some electronic part/s may fail a few days after you start using the item. Hallicrafter fans, have you seen one of these? So, is it a rare model? Leatherette wood cabinet in good condition and repaired. Restored, aligned, capacitors replaced. Tested for 24 hours on AC power. I really like the bronze-brass brown lettering contrasting front panel finish on this piece. Telescoping antenna is in excellent condition. It’s a great old radio. I replaced the carrying handle and leather headphone straps on the interior. I did NOT test for battery operation. Works great on AC. All Four Bands tested and working. Tunes from 170KC to 11MC in four bands. I test them thoroughly and check one last time before packing. If you have issues please contact me. I will do my best to help you. It is greatly appreciated. This transceiver looks pretty good. The cabinet has some paint flaked off (see photos), but overall it looks nice. The front panel is in terrific condition. Inside, it looks to be free of modification and all components look original. The function (mode) switch feels a little soft and may need attention. The rest of the controls feel good. This one will make an excellent candidate for restoration! This piece of equipment is believed to have not been used in years (possibly decades). It will almost certainly need some level of service. This may include: replacement of electrical components (such as capacitors, resistors, diodes, tubes, etc), cleaning of controls, alignment, and so forth. If you’re not qualified to do this work yourself, we’re happy to provide you with a list of qualified technicians available for hire.
