Very Nice Antique Vintage 1951 Zenith “Racetrack” Consol-Tone Model #H511F 5 Tube Radio. This is a very nice art deco/industrial design green plastic table radio. The radio is called both the “Racetrack” due to the design of the front dial areas and the fact that the dial areas are inset (step back) from the outside front border façade. Zenith also called this radio a “Consol-Tone”, and this lettering, as well as the dial lettering is in excellent condition and readable. The plastic case does not have any cracks, dents, or scratches on it. The green paint is original and in good shape. Maintains its original sheen. There are only two minute areas on the side where the paint has chipped slightly. The brass Zenith logo is in good shape, as well as the legs to the radio. The back cardboard back is intact and in good shape. There is also a picture of the label on the bottom of this radio. Two knobs are original and work well. The front brass strip has been painted black, but the radio is still attractive and holds that interesting 50′s retro design. The radio still plays after 64 years. It plays with loud volume. Zenith produces nice sounding radios, both tube and transistor. This radio is no exception. All controls work smoothly. Dimensions: 7″ x 14″ x 6.
