Hi, this was taken out of a Kuba counsel stereo that was in my neighbors attic. There was no power cord so we couldn’t test it. We will also be listing the turntable and speakers that came out of it (not included in this sale). ” PLEASE ” see the pictures as they are the main description, we really don’t know anything about these items. Her we have a german piece of history! GRUNDIG 5040 W tube radio. This one was the top of the line in 1953 and the biggest Grundig tube radio at that time. It has the biggest Grundig speaker build in ever build. The tube amplifier has the big EL12 tube build in for powerful sounding. It comes from closed collection and we did a quick audio test and is wokring. Found some FM stations with small antenna, other bands were not tested and possibly need external antenna or restoration. The woden cabinet looks great, also the unit is clean. Size: 706 x 444 x 318 mm / 27.8 x 17.5 x 12.5 inch. Weight: 18 kg / 39 lb 10.4 oz (39.648 lb). Multi voltage can be set easily: 110; 125; 220; 240 Volt. There are 8 tubes inside (EC92, ECC81, EL12, EM35, EAF42, ECH81, EABC80) – the magic eye is working too. Vintage Grundig FM Tube Radio Type 4570U Stereo Konzergerate

On offer is a vintage tube radio made by Grundig. The back plate shows this model to be a type 4570U Stereo radio. The radio has been tested and does function. A radio station was picked up and sound did play. There may be some fine tuning required as it did not change stations well and the volume was fairly low. One of the knobs is chipped, there is a bit of water staining on the front mesh, and the lacquer is crazed on the top. The item in the photos is the one you will receive so please use them as an aid, in addition to the description, to judge condition.
