Not often I find a catalin radio with its original sales box. This is one of very few times over the past 30 years. RCA made this cute little catalin radio circa 1938. Extremely highly marbleized rich brown RCA Catalin Tulip-Grill Radio, a model #RC-350. This Art Deco radio is unique with its diminutive vertical rotary dial scale outlined with brass escutcheon, side-mounted brown bakelite knobs and distinctive grill cutout. This model is nicknamed by collectors as the “W-Grill or Tulip” RCA model with the cutaway cabinet similar to the Tom Thumb radios made by Automatic Mfg. This example has rich brown color with stunning heavy yellow marbling on all sides. The catalin cabinet has no fading and. Is all original and in excellent condition with no cracks, chips, nicks, dings, deep scratches, or tube burns to the cabinet or trim. Radio retains its factory original gold tone checkered grill cloth, and RCA Victor water-slide decal on the front of the cabinet. The grill cloth is factory original in pristine condition. 1934 Grunow Chrome Grill ART DECO tombstone vintage vacuum tube radio- RESTORED

You are looking at a stunning 1934 Grunow #450 with the ultra art deco chrome grill. This little beauty known as “The Modern Miracle” is a beautiful small tombstone from the Art Deco period. The cabinet has been expertly refinished back to its original finish using correct toners and stains, and finished off in a hand rubbed lacquer finish. The chassis has been electronically restored, replacing all capacitors and out of tolerance resistors. This set plays loud and clear on BC and SW bands. This set is a early superheterodyne and has a large speaker. This would make a fine addition to any collection. The set was made in 1934, yet the case and grille are in remarkable condition having been completely restored cosmetically and electronically. This set was known for the solid walnut two tone cabinet. The radio is in pristine condition, it retains all of the paperwork inside the case and a full sticker on the chassis. Original knobs, grill cloth, speaker, chrome grill, etc. The chassis is complete, restored, and the radio is ready to be displayed, played, and enjoyed. These chrome fronts are hard to find; to find one so nice makes this a must have for your collection. Radio measures approximately 13″H x 9-1/2″W x 6-3/4D.
