Highly sought after Zenith Model 6-S-321 “Stars & Stripes” Model radio that features a greaairplane dial and 5 pushbuttons above the dial. Radio receives stations quite readily with minimal background noise and the volume is good with an antenna attached to the back connection. (Antenna not included) All of the dials move properly and smoothly and the dial indicator functions properly as well. Grill cloth is in very good condition with no rips, holes or fraying. The finish on the radio is all original and has simply been cleaned and polished with a professional wood wax. The front and sides have a burled walnut faux finish, which really makes this piece stand out. There are two small spots on the upper right side where the finish has come off, but it does not detract from the overall appearance of the radio. The power cord is in good condition, still plyable. This receiver looks fantastic. The faceplate is just about perfect, the cabinet has it’s original paint with very few scratches, and the copper chassis has very little oxidation. It’s complete, and some of the capacitors appear to have been replaced at some point (I don’t know when). Other than those caps, it looks original and unmodified. It powers up and the tube filaments glow, but no further testing has been done. This will make an excellent candidate for electrical restoration! This is a vintage piece of equipment that’s been sitting in storage for many years, possibly decades. When electronics sit for this long without being used, components go bad. Electrical components will certainly need to be replaced, and we simply don’t have the time to do this work.
