You are viewing a Rare Vintage Emor Globe Radio Made In England in 1946 for Restoration. The radio works I can get 2 or 3 stations but it has some static , lighted pointer shows indicates channel , you can operate channels and volume by turning pole. The radio stands approximately 43 1/2″ tall and globe 12″ in diameter. The speaker sounds clear although there’s some static , globe has some small dents and blemishes. There’s a screw missing on the side of the globe (see photo) , also cord has been repaired and taped I believe it might have been cut by the chrome base at one time. They were tested on my recently calibrated Hickok TV-7 tube tester with scores of 75 and 76. A minimum value score on my tester for these tubes would be 47 so these tubes test 100%. They do not have original boxes, but they test 100%. They have tight bases and no loose particles inside. We trust priority a bit more, but will adjust according to the needs of our customers. FROM A COLLECTORS ESTATE. AT FIRST WHEN I SAW IT I THOUGHT IT WAS IN SUCH NICE SHAPE IT MUST BE SOME SORT OF REPLICA RADIO. THEN I STARTED TO STUDY AND REALIZED IT HAD OLD SCHOOL TUBES, 5 OF THEM , GLOBE STYLE. THEY ARE 2 AMPLITRON 201-A AND 2 CUNNINGHAM CX 301-A AND 1 RADIOTRON X-201-A. THEY ALL LOOK GREAT, EXCEPT ONE AMPLITRON SEEMS TO HAVE LOOSE BASE. HAS A SERIAL NUMBER TAG ON INSIDE CORNER #30. HAS LOOSE WIRES IN BACK, UNIT IS UNTESTED. ON FRONT HAS SPEAKER JACK AND PHONES JACK, HAS 3 BIG TUNING KNOBS, HAS VOLUME AND CLARITY CONTROL. MEASURES ABOUT 19.5 INCHES WIDE. THE FRONT IS GREAT, THE FLASH MADE FRONT LOOK BIT ODD IN SOME PICTURES, BUT FRONT IS GREAT A STRONG 9.5 FOR AGE. JUST SOME DUST IN GROOVES OF KNOBS. VERY NICE, I WOULD RATE A 9 OUT OF 10 COSMETICALLY. SMALL MARK ON LID. INSIDE IS CLEAN AND NICE AND ALL THE TUNING MOVE AND WORK AND LOOK GREAT. LID HAS A PROP UP THAT WORKS. SEE ALL PICTURES, PRETTY AMAZING FOR AGE. TINY BIT OF DUST. I REALLY COULD NOT FIND ANY INFO ON THIS, LITTLE I FOUND SEEMS LIKE THESE MAY HAVE BEEN MADE AROUND 1924?
