Her we have a german piece of history! GRUNDIG 5040 W tube radio. This one was the top of the line in 1953 and the biggest Grundig tube radio at that time. It has the biggest Grundig speaker build in ever build. The tube amplifier has the big EL12 tube build in for powerful sounding. It comes from closed collection and we did a quick audio test and is wokring. Found some FM stations with small antenna, other bands were not tested and possibly need external antenna or restoration. The woden cabinet looks great, also the unit is clean. Size: 706 x 444 x 318 mm / 27.8 x 17.5 x 12.5 inch. Weight: 18 kg / 39 lb 10.4 oz (39.648 lb). Multi voltage can be set easily: 110; 125; 220; 240 Volt. There are 8 tubes inside (EC92, ECC81, EL12, EM35, EAF42, ECH81, EABC80) – the magic eye is working too. WWII Era Vtg Rare Kapsch & Sohne, Wien German Bakelite 401GW Tube Radio For TLC
wwii

Up for sale is a rare vintage WWII era Kapsch & Sohne, Wien German bakelite tube radio. This is another one that would fall into the German propaganda era tube radios. I believe this is the same as the 401GW Ingelen Elektrotechnische Fabrik Ing and the Super-Piccolo 1038L although this pitcular maker seems to be harder to find. This radio will have to be for parts or repair since I can’t get it to fire up. It’s in good cosmetic condition with the exception of a chip in the bottom left corner. Original cord and plug is in good condition. Back metal plate has some scratches scuffs and wear. This might be one of those that you’ll never come across again.

This vintage VE 301w tube radio is an antique German piece that was made in Germany. The radio was designed to be used by the common folk, hence its name, Volksempfänger Braun, which translates to German People’s Radio. Radio powers on, but I can not get it to work. Tuner seems to be broken. These radios were built by various manufacturers. This one was built by Saba. Measures 15.5″ X 11″ X 6.5. The radio has a beautiful design and is a true collector’s item. It features a classic tube radio design that was popular during that time. The radio is in great shape, and it comes from a smoke-free home.

It’s in excellent cosmetic condition, but I couldn’t get it to power on. Up for sale is a vintage German Bakelite radio, known as the People’s Radio or Deutsche Kleinempfanger Nicknamed: Goebbels Schnauze. DKE 38, is a true collector’s item. Brand: TeKaDe (TKD), Süddeutsche Telefon-Apparate- Kabel- und Drahtwerke; Nuremberg Made in Germany, it is a testament to the country’s rich history in radio technology. The radio boasts a sleek and stylish design, with its dark brown Bakelite casing, making it a perfect addition to any vintage collection. It also comes with a wiring diagram on the inside. One of the problems I noticed was the off and on switch not popping in and out correctly. Giving the nice cosmetic condition, I’m sure someone good with these old radios can get it running again.
