MCM Vintage 1950s GE General Electric Model 400 Purple Bakelite Tube Radio READ. Radio is a very rare purple color in decent shape However the left rear corner has been damaged and has a piece of Bakelite missing. In addition there is a crack in the bottom and several small scratches and spots on exterior from age and use. Radio turns on and I was able to get 1 radio station to come in but there was static and hard to understand. Please see photos for details and measurements I HAVE NOT Opened up the rear so I have no idea of the inside condition back is a little loose from case.

ART DECO GE TUBE RADIO General Electric Vintage great design quality

So this came in from a radio collectors estate, he collected radios for their cabinets, he did not care if they worked, he liked the style, the look, the design of them… This has a great design, art deco, No cracks at all. The cabinet is very nice, but bit dull. I do not see a model number. I plugged it in, it did get a station, tuned, but has a decent hum to it, not crazy loud, but loud. Please see all pictures, if you had this repaired and buffed up, you would have a keeper for sure. Hard to find these radios without damage to cabinets anymore. I will ad to the listing. It lights up it works. I got a radio station vaguely because I live a long ways from any stations. I figure there is some veneer missing on the top and on the side. I took pictures of a tube lit up and the front while it was on with the lights. Not sure if you can get a station in your area but this is really awesome on the front. It has eastern hemisphere, Rome, Tokyo, Prague, London, Paris, Berlin, New York, Pittsburgh, and many others. It’s says short, wave one and short wave two and then broadcast. It measures approximately 18 1/2 long 9 1/4 deep and 10 1/4 tall. The buttons on the knobs are bake a light. Also, on the right side it has megacycles and kilo cycles. Thank you so much for stopping by!

Vintage General Electric Model 107 Bakelite Tube Radio

For sale is a vintage General Electric Model 107 Bakelite tube radio. I believe from 1948. I plugged it in to test it and both knobs seem to work ok. However, the tuner isn’t coming in very clear. Could just be a simple cleaning needed, but I’m not good enough with electronics this old to open it up. Cosmetically, it looks to be in really good shape.
