All controls and contacts were detail cleaned and lubricated. Wiring and other components were replaced as needed. The radio was aligned, peaked and tuned for optimal reception and quality of sound using the internal loop antenna. At 60 years old, this mid century radio was made close to the end of the tube radio era. It was also during a time of peace and prosperity, prior to the turbulent 1960′s. Now that is restored, it will provide many more years of reliable listening pleasure. It is doubtful that you will find another of this model radio in such excellent restored condition. It was equipped with a small electrostatic tweeter that was burned out and no longer working. It made only a minuscule difference in the sound, so it was not replaced.
