Zenith vintage 1938 Console Tube Radio, fully RESTORED #9S-262-L@@K

It features Zeniths hot new robot dial, automatic electric tuning, between station silencer and changing thin metal dials for each band selected. The chassis has been Fully Restored with all new capacitors. The Resistors were tested and any out of tolerance were replaced. All tubes were tested and are 90% or Better or were replaced with NOS (new). Any wires that were close to being dried or starting to harden were also replaced. The chassis is extremely clean. The dial cover is glass, not plastic and is scratch and mark free. The three interchangeable black face shutter dials are excellent and clean and show no signs of fading or crazing. It has 9 tubes and a Bright NOS (new old stock) green tuning eye. The motorized tuner (speedy dial movement) works perfectly. The Large Speaker is original and in superb condition. The original adjustable Acoustic Adapter is in place over the speaker. Everything is working as it should. The wood cabinet finish is just Beautiful. It has been beautifully restored with a flawless lacquer finish. Recently, this radio has been snapped up by new collectors partly because it is used in the Microsoft Windows98 screen-saver The Golden Age. Here is a nice video of this model by Don Kelley on youtube. The cabinet on this has been completely restored to a hand rubbed lacquer finish. The electronics have also been restored meticulously and the radio plays very well. This particular radio is the Model 5-S-127 – produced in 1936/1937. This has a serial number of: 289519. This radio is in EXCELLENT WORKING Condition – as mentioned, FULLY RESTORED. Restoration was done quite recently by Speak Easy Radios of Lafayette, OR. See tag in the picture for more info.
