This item is for parts/repair only. The item needs a new power cord. It’s missing parts/pieces throughout. There may be other issues. I’m uncertain if all the parts are original or not. There is scratching/scuffing throughout the item. There is discoloration/wear throughout. There is missing parts/pieces throughout the item. The dial cover is missing. The dial is not lined up with the hole. The case has cracks by the grille, knob, and side (as shown in the photos). There is dirt/debris throughout. The knobs are warped. There is spotting/staining on the case that doesn’t clean off. There may be other issues throughout. Please use the photos of the item to determine the type, condition, and value. The cord is in great shape with all dials working. Youll love the old static sound, just wait a few for the tubes to warm up and you have gone back in the past. THIS IS A ESTATE FIND. This radio, manufactured by Emerson, features a unique mottled brown color and a large tube design typical of classic radios from the 1930s. Crack on top, see photo. There are cuts and cracks in the wire insulation for the plug. So I did not plug it in to test it. Measures approximate 11 1/2″ x 6 1/2″ x 7 1/2 tall.
Beautiful 1953 Emerson tube radio model 724 in a stunning cherry red color. Radio has no chips or cracks to the case. Not sure if Ray is working, the cord has been cut. Appears the chassis is complete please see photos. Missing small radio knob center of radio. Radio is total weight 4 1/2 pounds.
The radio has an incredible MCM look. The face and body of the clock radio is in excellent condition. The clock keeps the perfect time. The radio has a loud hum when turned on. I can faintly hear stations but the hum over powers. Great display piece or restoration project. 3 lb 7 oz.
