EICO ELECTRONIC INSTRUMENT COMPANY BROOKLYN NEW YORK (NY) MODEL 625 TUBE TESTER WORKS! EICO was established in New York City in 1945 to manufacture electronic test equipment in kit form. A wide variety of test equipment remained the company’s mainstay during the time it was in the electronics business, however EICO often augmented their product lines with what was thought fashionable. For example, in the late 40s it offered Geiger counters in response to public interest in uranium prospecting. In the 50s and 60s they offered amateur radio and electronic test equipment. Their largest secondary market was audio equipment. Eico produced hi-fi products in the early 50s to the mid 60s with a line of tuners, preamplifiers, and amplifiers, available both in kit form or fully assembled. The model Eico HF-81 integrated tube amplifier is just one of several highly-regarded products manufactured by EICO during this period. EICO is also known for “monoblock” amplifiers such as the HF-50 and HF-35, stereo integrated amplifiers such as the ST-40 and ST-70, as well as many other amplifiers and preamplifiers. EICO left the audio market in the late 1970s and the electronics market some time later. EICO existed as a property management company until 1999, when the company was liquidated at the request of the shareholders. DO NOT BE TOO PERSNICKETY. The case has 107 vintage tubes housed inside the case all of vintage era, from various makers, rca, sylvania, raytheon, etc. The inside of the case is absolutely mint as you can tell by the pictures. The out side is a bit weathered. The latches are nice and tight. This came from the estate of a rca rep, who was in the business for about 30 years. His family supplied that information to me. A most fabulous piece of memorabilia intact and complete , and very seldom seen in such a full and complete condition. UNBUILT Graymark 510 vintage vacuum 5 tube AM radio receiver electronic kit set

Listing has multiple photos, scroll down to see them all. This was a working Graymark 510 radio, that we disassembled back to its original kit form. The parts were carefully removed, and all terminals, lugs and components are free of excess solder. The plastic case has been cleaned and polished. In addition to the original components that were salvageable, the kit comes with a COMPLETE set of NOS (New Old Stock) resistors, a COMPLETE new capacitor set, set of new tube sockets, and new hookup wire! You are building the kit with a new set of parts, just like the original! The resistors are ALL vintage carbon composition types, tested to be in spec. The ceramic capacitors are vintage parts with long leads. The RF front-end ceramic capacitors have been replaced with superior polystyrene types. The tubular capacitors are brand new film caps. Finally, we are including two high voltage electrolytic capacitors, to replace the original dual power supply filter capacitor, if it becomes necessary. This is as close as you can get to an original unbuilt kit! The plastic case is in very good condition for its age, better than you normally find. It has been cleaned and polished. It still has some small nicks and scratches, but is very presentable. Their is one large melt mark on the left side of the case, about 1.5 inches long. The front of the case is in very good – excellent condition. The manual is supplied as JPEG scans on a CD-R, please note we do not supply copies of manuals. Vintage NOS (New Old Stock), Graymark 505, 3-tube radio transmitter kit! This is one of the rarest Graymark kits. Kit is still in its original box. All the parts bags are still stapled shut! The box has some wear and staining, and a tear on the top flap. The bottom has a circular green stain about an inch in diameter. We have inventoried the kit, and it is complete. Their was one minor discrepancy in the parts. A resistor in the parts list has a 2.7 Mohm resistor, but in the parts bag is a 220 Kohm resistor. We are including an extra 2.7 Mohm resistor. Kit includes vacuum tubes, but this version does not come with a microphone. We will include a small crystal microphone. The manual is a photocopy of a used manual. It has some markings and writing in it. Please note we do not supply copies of manuals or schematics. This kit has one unusual feature. The printed circuit board has no component holes. This is a rare radio that features an electronic tuning dial! The radio powers on when plugged in and turned on I was able to hear a loud hum. It was not hooked up to an external antenna. He backlit dial light works nicely and looks awesome when lit up! I pressed a couple of the tuning presets and the electronic tuning mechanism seemed to be working as it should be! He wood cabinet is nice and solid and the finish looks really nice. There are some minor imperfections like you might expect on a piece from this era. All of the various dials and switches seem to be working as they should be. As you can see from the pictures, the chassis looks clean but the radio has been in storage for many years so I’m sure that it could use a good/thorough cleaning. I do not have the proper equipment to test this radio any further. Please be sure to preview all of the pictures so that you can determine the condition for yourself. The pictures were taken later in the day so the flash kicked in! Just a FYI on why some of the pics look a little more shiny. Unassembled ARGON Vacuum Tube Rectifier Power Supply Kit. Another Pirate Pete Electronics Exclusive , available nowhere else! LIMITED production kit , available only as long as our tube stock lasts. Watch our product video here. This is a very interesting and unique electronic project kit. You construct a power supply, featuring a low-voltage,’purple glow’, Argon gas vacuum rectifier tube! The more current the circuit draws, the brighter the purple glow from the tube! The kit also teaches basic regulated power supply design as explained below. In order to keep costs as low as possible, the kit comes with a 350mA power transformer. This transformer supplies a nominal unloaded voltage of 19 volts DC. With a 220mA load, the output voltage is 15.4 volts. With a 350mA load, the output voltage is 12.1 volts. See our other listings for a higher power 96VA (watt) transformer, for higher output voltage and current. Maximum recommended output is 2 amps. Complete kit with all necessary parts, including case, two power transformers, hardware, and all necessary components for one LM317 adjustable voltage regulator, to provide a regulated variable output. Kit features printed circuit construction. Circuit board has provisions for two LM317 regulator circuits, a 78XX series 3-terminal fixed regulator, and a discrete zener diode – transistor regulated supply, to teach and demonstrate basic power supply theory. Case comes with predrilled hole for vacuum tube mounting, and all hardware necessary. User must drill small holes as necessary. Instructions are supplied on a CD-R. We have never experienced a tube failure in our design and testing development. The tube has no part number or markings. Kit requires moderate electronics assembly skill, not for beginners, not for sale to minors. Unlimited uses, excellent for model railroad use. Connect it to a load resistor, and just use it for a fascinating conversation piece. For a limited time, we are including a digital Volt – Amp readout display for free.
