Vintage EICO 625 Ham Radio Electron Vacuum Tube Tester with Setups

EICO 625 Radio Vacuum Tube Tester. Comes with a copy of an Eico 625 four page tube setup supplement (more detailed setup books can be found online). Tester shows some wear and someone removed the setup rollchart and the hardware for the rollchart (and the shorts indicator bulb), but left the dial lights for the rollchart (not sure if they are original or added) hanging inside. The dial lights need to be safely secured and the tester needs to be repaired and gone over before you can use it, so it is offered here as is and for parts or repair. Also has a couple plastic caps missing from the switches and some case screws missing, all of which can be easily replaced and don’t affect operation of the tester. Tube tester is in a metal case with a solid handle, I don’t think it ever had a lid. Cosmetically the tube tester looks pretty good. Not guaranteed to work. This transmitter is in fair cosmetic condition. It has some scuffs and scratches on the black cover, and is also missing some of the screws/nuts that hold the cover in place. Inside, it’s missing the GZ34 rectifier (I actually removed it for use in another project), otherwise it looks complete. After nearly eight years in business, we’ve made the decision to no longer test vintage equipment that’s been sitting idle for long periods of time. Vintage, EICO, Television/ Radio Tube Tester, Model No. 625 – WORKING/ TESTED, comes with “KIT Manual”, and “Operation Manual”. Late 1950′s/ Early 1960′s. Listed as USED/ working; however, not “double checked”. Tested, at least, 50 tubes, of all the same parameters. Even got the tester to show shorts on some tubes. Some tubes tested as “questionable”. A couple tested as “Replace”, the rest tested in the “GOOD”. Assuming that because of the differences in results, the tester is actually testing, “close to proper”; however, I can not be sure, as I have no other way to test the tubes. Unit is “dirtier” than appearing in the photos. Would be a great second piece for parts. Internals are very clean! Built from a “Kit”. No top handle was ever installed. Meaning, If I feel the items will not sell for much, the time I spend on research will be limited. Items came from my father-in-laws estate. My Father-in-law was very knowledgeable in the repair of “TUBE” TV & Radios, from his time in the Army. There will be a few listings coming, of other TV & Radio Tubes and parts. Keep an eye out! Here is a vintage. EICO 625 Vintage Radio Electron Vacuum Tube Tester. Has a setup rollchart built in that covers lots of audio / ham and antique radio tubes like 12AX7, 6SN7 and 6SL7. Cosmetically the tester is in good condition, with no major issues. Has a good sturdy handle and looks good overall, has a little surface rust on top near the handle but not bad. Came from a “silent key” collector friend who took loving care of his collection! Case looks good and solid, probably never had any kind of lid. I tested it with several different tubes and it does work and seems to be reading accurately for the tubes, as you can see in the pictures. It has not been repaired nor refurbished since I have owned it, so due to it’s age I cannot guarantee accuracy and may still need some repairs/calibration. NOT guaranteed to work.
