VINTAGE FARNSWORTH ART DECO BROWN BAKELITE RADIO MODEL ATL-12. Very rare and hard to find. This one is in great shape for its age. Please examine pictures carefully. There is a hairline flaw on the top of the case which is difficult to see. This radio has an AC cord but I have not plugged it in for fear of damaging components. This radio requires restoration of the electronics which can be accomplished with patience and a little knowledge found online. The first time I plugged it in, I got some talking, but the next time I only got humming. The second hand on the clock moves. There are some scratches and missing color present. I have a pair of very hard to find Philco electrostatic speakers. From the late 1950s. They would have gone with H1814 consoles and others. I heard some play on youtube and it sounds great. They have a very cool look. Like they could have been on Star Trek or the Jetsons. Both are in very solid condition. The color is almond or mocha and the pics make it look lighter. They show signs of use but no real damage. One of the speakers is seated slightly forward. Where the bottom corner of top rotating piece sits flush on the top of the base. The other has about a 1/4 gap (the final 2 pics) They would clean up a bit more as well with some effort. The cords are in very good condition but units are untested by me. I dont have the knowledge or equipment to test them. From the estate of a lifetime tube radio restorer. I was told by the estate they came from that they worked. They are in Seattle if you want to meet up and test them. Thanks for stopping by and have a nice day. I also have a 3rd unit with slightly different case color. One of the feet is missing as well. Fantastic ZENITH model 6-D-030. Real wood cabinet with bakelite knob. This one has a fantastic look about it with its quarter circle speaker vents, brass zenith plate, quarter circle dial, double operation bakelite knob, and bright red on light. I was able to tune in multiple stations with little static. The main light still lights up nice an bright. One small loose thread in fabric. The dial plastic is clear… NOT yellow and dried/cracked. The original cord is in fantastic shape with no shorts. The body has some light scratches here and there. Looks to be all original fabric, knob, feet, cord, chassie, etc. IT WILL NOT TAKE MUCH TO REFURBISH THIS TO MINT CONDITION. It is 90% there! Or you could always keep it as is since it looks great already. 13 5/8″ wide, 7 3/4″ tall, and 6 1/4 deep. It will be protected well and insured. Let me know if you have questions.
