Vintage Drake 2C transmitter with original Drake headphone, original manual/schematics and cable. THE RF GAIN AND VOLUME CONTROL ARE UNSTABLE- THE RECEIVER NEEDS TO BE FIXED TO BE USED PROPERLY. Please view images for cosmetic condition. Missing the two front rubber feet. Please contact with any questions. Don’t miss your chance at this rare Drake receiver! The Drake 2C amateur receiver is designed for reception of most amateur bands in the range of 3 and 30 MHz. The receiver coverage is in five bands. Supplied coverage includes: 3.5-4, 7-7.5, 14-14.5, 21-21.5 and 28.5-29 MHz. Optional accessory crystals provide 500 kHz incremental coverage in the range of 3 to 30 MHz. They plug into the left side panel of the radio near the 1/4 inch headphone jack. Three bandwidths are available: 0.4, 2.4 and 4.8 kHz (at -6dB). Sensitivity is less than 0.5 uV for 10dB signal plus noise to noise on all bands. Stability is 100 Hz after warm-up. This radio is a great match with the Drake 2NT transmitter. This radio uses a blend of five tubes and 14 semiconductors. Drake T-4X Tube Transmitter for 4-Series Vintage Ham Radio Equipment SN 13602. It was a mess when he received it, but after putting in some time it looks great! The switches, pots, and contacts were all cleaned at that time. Also, the PTO was cleaned and lubricated. In 2015, a NOS faceplate was installed, along with knobs. The cabinet isn’t perfect and has been repainted, but the clean face makes up for this in my opinion. It works well will full output. Check out the last photograph, where you can see notes made by the previous owner. Although this piece is currently in working condition, it is still a vintage piece of equipment. It will inevitably need maintenance, however it’s impossible to say whether that will be next week or a few years from now. Unless you are capable of doing this work yourself (or have access to someone who can), we suggest you revisit the idea of whether this is the right equipment for you. Available for sale is a Drake T-4XB, serial number 18661C, transmitter. Physically, this radio is in very good condition for its age showing minor wear. Aside from some spots on a few knobs and some other very minor scratches / scuffs on the cabinet, the radio is extremely clean inside and out! Please see the photos for more details. Our technician tested this radio on all modes and found it has excellent power output!
