So this came in from a radio collectors estate, he collected radios for their cabinets, he did not care if they worked, he liked the style, the look, the design of them… This has a great design, art deco, No cracks at all. The cabinet is very nice, but bit dull. I do not see a model number. I plugged it in, it did get a station, tuned, but has a decent hum to it, not crazy loud, but loud. Please see all pictures, if you had this repaired and buffed up, you would have a keeper for sure. Hard to find these radios without damage to cabinets anymore. I will ad to the listing. Please view all pics for condition. Shows wear from being used and from storage. Surfaces have some scuffs, and scratches. No cracks, chips, or breaks. I did not plug the radio in to turn it on and test it. Due to the age, and the condition of the electrical chord (pictured). All of the knobs are intact. The backing is nice. A nice vintage Zenith Owl Eye design clock radio. Measures: 13″ Long x 6″ Wide x 5 3/4 Tall. If you have any questions feel free to ask.

Here’s a very unusual Emerson 1940-41 table radio with a decal floral design on the front and top. I can’t find another one like this listed anywhere, but the radio itself appears to be an EC 366 or similar model from what I see on line. The original chassis was a basket case so I replaced it with an identical good one I had in another Emerson radio from the same year. Since Emerson was famous for their theme, or “artsy-craftsy” radios during that time period, I’m guessing this is one of their originals, but since I can’t find another one any place, I can’t be sure that someone, other than an Emerson employee, many years ago, customized it. The art work sure looks like it’s been there a long time, with some deterioration in the bird figure on top. The cabinet is original finish showing some wear, and the chassis, from anther radio, has been mostly recapped and is working. ALL NOS tubes were installed. This is a hard to find model 603 and a oddball unique color, from older radio estate. Plugged in and does tune and get a station, loud, but has a lot of hash and static to it. The overall cosmetics are iffy, melted hole in rear, few other small melted spots, the hinges are broken, the cord is decent, has some marks scuffs, I did not try and clean…. Does have original label inside, is of course a tube unit. Use zoom, kinda is what it is, has some wear, yet very cool design quality to it…. Guessing 1950′s era? For parts or repair. So this came in from a radio collectors estate, he collected radios for their cabinets, he did not care if they worked, he liked the style, the look, the design of them… This has a great design, art deco, No cracks at all. The cabinet is nice, tiny bit dull. And needs q-tip cleaned for dust.. I do not see a model number. Now few things need mentioned that I see. Small crack at top of dial plastic face, use zoom. The dial face is warped, if I run my hand across the face it is warped… And the back does not look original, the screws do not seem to line up. Also the two screws on bottom do not seem original and also to me, do not seem to line up. Has those great Z knobs, but they need cleaned and. Out of shape, use zoom. I plugged it in, just static and hum, tunes physically, but has a decent hum to it, no stations.. The dried masking tape on bottom seems fine, if soaked with oil or goo-gone, seems it will come off, does not seem to be hiding anything..
