You get this rare 1954 Oldsmobile radio model number 983090 complete with all six tubes. Untested UNKNOWN if it works or not, it’s been in storage for many decades. Assume it will at least need some minor repairs to get it going again. The tuner moves the needle but it does slip a little bit so the mechanism might need oil and that should help the presets work better as well. The bezel(s) & preset buttons look pretty good. The knobs and dials look amazing and the glass lens looks good. And I think the inside is gonna look AMAZING or at least it appears that way looking in thru the vent holes (see pics zoom in). A cool rare survivor from a by-gone era in very very nice condition.

Vintage 1937 Sparton Deluxe Model 537 Blue Mirror Sled Table Radio – Works. Vintage 1936 Sparton Deluxe Model 557 Blue Mirror Sled Table Radio – Works. Here we have a rare vintage 1936 Sparton Deluxe model 557 midnight blue mirror table radio. This hard to find radio is a stunner. An Art Deco dream radio, it was designed by Walter Dorwin Teague for the Sparks-Worthington Company of Jackson, Michigan. The radio, known as the “sled” is considered to be one of the best examples of Art Deco Streamline style. The radio features cobalt blue mirrors on the front, top and left side, with contrasting ebony lacquer finish and 5 chromed bands or “speed lines”. The mirrors are crack and chip free with some age crazing to the silvering. This blue mirror set is clean inside and out. It has not been restored. I tested it with our Variac, bringing it up slowly so as not to damage anything. It powers on and hums. I didn’t catch any channels and the dial did not light up. It measures 17 1/4″ wide x 8 7/8″ tall x 8 1/2 deep (including the knobs). I notice that there is some wood lifting on the right side between the chrome louvres (see pictures). Should be an easy fix.
