Vintage, Art Deco Philco Model 37-62, that is a great candidate for restoration. Radio is only able get some static and the volume is low, so it will need to have the capacitors replaced to get it functioning. All of the tubes tested good on my Eico Model 625 tube tester. Chassis is very clean with no evidence of rust or corrosion. All of the knobs turn smoothly and properly and the dial indicator functions properly as well. A close inspection of the plastic dial indicator reveals that it was broken at one point and repaired with tape/glue. In addition, the light that illuminates the dial indicator is missing. The power cord is in good condition, a little stiff and the grill cloth is in good shape, with no rips or holes. The finish on the radio is all original and has simply been cleaned and polished with a professional wood wax. There is some wear to the faux finish on the front face, and a veneer chip along the back edge of the left side of the radio, but overall, the radio still presents well. With a little bit of restoration work, this radio will be a fine addition to your collection. Restored models without the original faux finish have commanded big prices. Do not hesitate to make an offer, all will be considered.

This seems to be one of the hardest to find Air Castle radios. Radio is in very nice vintage cosmetic condition. I do not believe it’s ever been restored. Looks like it has all the original tubes. The dial and speaker opening design scream Art Deco. I think this is one of the best-looking dials I’ve ever seen. The case of this radio is really in pretty nice condition to be nearly 90 years old. I took pictures of most of the imperfections to the wood. Bottom corners have some light chips. See pictures for overall condition. Now it does power on, and all tubes light up, but I couldn’t get any reception. The knob to turn it off and on still works. I was having trouble with the tuning knob. I believe it will need some work. I believe this might be the only problem, but I’m still going to sell it AS IS.
Vintage Remler tube Radio 1936 Super Art Deco Unique Bakelite case excellent con. Here is a Art Deco 1936 Bakelite radio made in San Francisco. There are no cracks or chips in this radio which makes it somewhat rare. These radios are very fragile so to find one in excellent condition and all original with knobs and grill cloth is hard to do. I have not tested the radio and have never plugged it in before playing the radio. It should be looked over by a professional radio technician.
It does power up just fine, but I couldn’t get it tuned into any local stations (attached a short video). It is also a bit of winter storm outside. There are many chips from the paint, but I honestly like it! There is no cover for the back either. We will always package securely and with care. Thank you for viewing and let us know if you have any questions!
