For sale is an original Crosley Metallic Green Clock Tube Radio from early 1950s. In excellent working condition. In 1950 under the Ownership of AVCO Crosley introduced a model line of “COLORADIOS” later known as the “DASHBOARDS RADIOS” that included D-25 Series, produced until the end of 1953. These radios were famous for their style similar to classic car dashboards (like shown on pictures 7 &8). It has a Metallic Green Bakelite housing with gold trimmed knobs and dials. The left dial is an alarm clock that will either ring or turn on the radio when it goes off (not tested). Great Sound from the Large Deluxe Speaker and Extra Filtering. CONDITION: Vintage condition shows wear from age and use. A crack on front above clock. Clock runs and seems to keep accurate time. The radio turns on and hums. In certain parts of my house I can get some station sounds, which tells me the tubes are still good. No guarantee on if you can actually use the radio fully. See pics for detailed description. 1950′s Vintage Retro Crosley “Dashboard” Table Radio Model D-25WE. Beautiful white color with very few blemishes. Brass finish on dials has nice worn patina. The clock and radio work! I listened to talk radio on it today! This radio would make a lovely gift for any retro-era fans in your life, or radio lovers. It would look lovely in a vintage-themed home. Thanks for looking into this fantastic 1950′s radio. The radio has been cleaned inside and outside. All tudes are functioning. As with all old radios the tubes must warm up. Excellent condition especially for age. The case has a few tiny hairline scratches. No dents, cracks, or deep scratches. I tested it and actually got a couple of stations. A lot of static on the other stations. Probably with servicing and cleaning it would play even better. If you choose to restore this radio it probably would only need a partial restoration. I think most if not all the Tubes are still good. The tuning knob is a little hard to turn, but I think a serving would fix that. If you want it just for decoration it looks real good already.
