1950′s VINTAGE DAHLBERG PILLOW SPEAKER COIN OP RADIO MODEL 4130-S RARE FIND. Here is a unique find that seems like some radio collectors out there may enjoy. This item is about 12 inches across and the radio does work. It would have been set up at a hotel or hospital and someone would deposit from 1 to 5 dimes with each dime giving you an hour of radio play. The radio would have been clamped down onto the headboard where it could be operated by someone lying in bed, thus the reason for the dial being upside down. The pillow speaker could be placed under the pillow you were sleeping on so the soft sounds of 1950′s music could lull you to sleep… Please look at all pictures to see condition. I got this radio from an estate sale of a large radio collector. The man had restored many old TVs, radios and juke boxes. The key cylinder has serial no. 8c603 and should be obtainable if needed. I will offer the best in radio collecting. Watch every week for great featured items. This radio has a very unique cabinet. Upside down tuner for headboard mounting , lift the speaker for it to play. Is untested , but i was told it works. The radio is in excellent condition with no cracks , cjips or breaks. The radio still retains its back cover. The radio was restored and now is playing very well with good sound. Dont let this radio slip by , they do not come up for sale often. I have supersized the pictures so you can see everything.
